We The People

Imperfection

Ignorance Is Bliss

Hello World.

Been a while since my last post...

So I guess I'll kick it off with a small drawing I made a couple of months ago.

Sorry about the quality, the original size was around 3400 x 2500 or something like that and I had to re-size it with a program since none of the default options on Blogger suited the blog... so i suppose it came out a little blurry but ah well you'll get the point!

While a few of you have already seen this, some of my readers asked me to put this photo up with sort of an explanation to it, so here it is:

Nos Autem Populus
Alright where do I start... The main body of the pyramid represents our society, "the world we have built" so to say...
As you might have figured already, the man who's kneeling in the fire trying to climb the pyramid represents man kind and our planet earth as one, I suppose by portraying us in such a form I tried to convey the point that whatever we do to ourselves, in the aftermath is also reflected upon our planet... and vice versa.

In the drawing, we (The Man) are reaching towards the eye, this eye is NOT god, what the eye represents is our "Higher Self", It's the ultimate state of being, the absolute apex of our existence, but this state of being is being kept away from us...

It is being kept away by the distractions which are consuming our lives (which is represented by the barbed wire of course)... the media, money, music, etc... Please note that there is good music, good TV shows, good movies and so on... but common face it people, most of the shit you see on TV now or hear on the radio is purely stupefying trash.

Now for those of you who couldn't make it out, the stripe on the man's head is representing an eye-patch, I think this is the most important point of my sketch because it tells us that one eye is open.. one is closed.

What I was trying to put across was that the eye that is open sees only the distractions, it only sees the "Want", where the closed eye represents our ignorance... This eye is also the key to our higher selves, by representing our closed eye as the eye inside the triangle I'm trying to say that we KNOW we are ignorant, we KNOW that we should be doing something better with our lives, we KNOW that these distractions are exactly what they are... distractions. Yet we chose to ignore this knowledge.

The upsetting part is that this is OUR fault.

The fire, skeleton bones, and some religious items represent the foundation on which we have built our society on... how on earth could we build paradise when the elementary component of the cornerstone is made up of hundreds and thousands of years worth of hatred, conflict, war & lies... To show this point I've drawn the pyramid (the world we've built) broken & in the process of falling apart.

So yeah I think that covered the main idea... Hope you enjoyed it & I hope I will be posting more often from now on :S

I'll just leave you guys with this:

The Root of All Evil

Money

If it's broke, Don't fix it

Hello World.

The more posts I make, the more i start to realize that they are becoming less and less "Me" & more and more what I imagine others expect from my blog because of the previous posts everyone seemed to have enjoyed so much...

So I guess i'll take a break from stating "researched" materials and try to include more of some original thinking... Well as original as it gets since, no doubt, all of us had such thoughts.

I guess this post can be seen as a extension or addition or whatever, to my previous post:
"Slaves in White Collars"

Enjoy!
The Giants who formed this world into its sensual existence and now seem to live in it in chains.
-  William Blake
 Money... Strange thing isn't it?

A small piece of paper that originally was designed to set us free from the burdens such as carrying our merchandise and all sorts of riches on us, has now turned into a material control system which literally governs everyone's lives.

well first of all i'd like to agree that yes, the concept of "money" was a great idea!

why would we bother carrying tons of potential trades material with us, if we could simply put it into a bank and get a paper which approves that we truly own that much "stuff"

The problem now is that "money" has completely taken the wrong turn from its original purpose... in fact... it doesn't represent anything!, think about it... if you have $10 or $100... literally all it proves is that you have a piece of paper...

For example, if you were to see something you liked.. like maybe a hat! that a person is wearing, and you were to offer them $100,
yet the person would say that they'd rather trade something that has actual value in return... you'd quickly realize that you're a guy who offered a piece of paper for a hat...

of course that scenario is taken to a minimal extreme, yet in a post apocalyptic world I'd like to see a guy who would trade ya a piece of paper for a life-essential item.

Money itself doesn't have any essential value to it... it's simply us which gave it its purpose a long time ago...

In my opinion, the problem with our world today is that a LOT of us live by the motto:
"If it ain't broke, Don't fix it"
(Lets elaborate on that real quick... So this means, if it's not broken, don't fix it or improve it or do anything to it.. i mean why should you? still working right?...)

Sure this was quite a useful piece of philosophy a couple of decades ago but not anymore.
Now we are coming to a stage of change...

Think about it!!! apply that phrase to each of these scenarios! and then see where it has brought us...

Even Bruce Lee knew that we always have to keep on moving forward.. keep on flowing.. he knew that all the old traditional martial arts were becoming out-dated and to adjust to the future he must create new ways, improved ways of fighting...

I guess here i come full circle ...

My point is that; way too many of us give up our hopes and dreams simply to be imprisoned by our own creation...

I'm sure many of us ask ourselves.. "If I do what i love, will that bring me a good income?" and if the answer is "No"...

At the passing of a second we drop what we love and pursue the path of money... A path which is paved with bricks of misery and sadness, just hoping that one day the pieces of paper we worked so hard for throughout our entire life will be a worthy reflection to all our achievements.

Of course some people can do what they love and earn great amounts of money.. my point is, don't give up on what you love doing, simply if it doesn't bring you a big income... after all, you never know when you will die. So why waste your time on something you hate for something that isn't of real value.

I'm gonna leave you guys with this quote by Ayn Rand

"So you think that money is the root of all evil. Have you ever asked what is the root of all money?"

Welcome To The Machine

Education

The System of Today

For the World of Yesterday

Hello World.

First, I apologize for missing on two Sundays / Mondays which i haven't posted anything on, the reason for this is, I wrote 3 blog post drafts, and simply didn't think any of which were "good enough" to be posted.

So after watching a TED-Talks video on education, and creativity etc... I got inspired and simply couldn't resist to add my say to this subject!

Enjoy!

Surely all of us have heard, or even said it to our own kids that:
"without a good education, you won't accomplish anything in life, so listen well in school and get good grades because they are important for a good job in the future!"
well something along those lines... we might not be so blunt when we say it, but it sure is what we imply.

Despite its oh-so promising encouragement of "good grades - good future", this statement has lost its value a long time ago... I suppose before I try to bring my point across, I'll quickly explain why I'm bringing this topic up in the first place...

In the beginning, there was the Industrial Revolution.
It was a time where people began making the transition from hand production methods to machines, we found ways to become more efficient and create higher quantities of merchandise through the use of factories and tons of other new equipment...

Simply put:
It was a different time which required certain needs for a certain lifestyle.

Because of the condition we lived in back then, skills such as languages and mathematics were valued more than other subjects because of its "high-in-need" status for its time, therefore schools got formed in a way that the education they provide serves the needs and requirements that the factory-workforce demands.

Our solution to a flourishing society eventually became the reason for its very own demise.

I believe Ken Robinson made a fantastic illustration of this matter by saying this:

Schools were and still are structured like the factories they were developed to serve. They treat education like an assembly line - you move from one task (Class) to the next - Day in and Day out. There is little collaboration or interchange between the work done in one department (Course) versus the next. The product (Students) are processed, as in a factory, in batches (By year of birth).
The resultant product (Graduates) are therefore all from the same mold.

When this system first got put into place, students accepted it because it almost certainly guaranteed a job, a chance in going to a college, and then a better job.

Although many of us faithfully hold on to this image of what our current education "should" provide, the fact is... That's not how it works anymore.
"Even with great grades, there is an oversupply of graduates. Couple this with the boredom and lack of enthusiasm generated by this production line education and is there any wonder why there are more costly drop-outs and an overall uninspired set of students?" - Harvey White
Our world and the needs to our lifestyle had changed a long time ago... Yet our system of education fails to realize that...

If you ask our students a question ... most of them will probably tell you to hold on a second and take out their iPhone or laptop and Google the answer... Acquiring information is not a problem anymore now that we have the internet, it isn't essential to hammer facts into our children's heads... instead we must teach them how to put that information to good use!

We must stop seeing our world as it was back in the 70's / 80's / 90's... we do NOT need to waste the beautiful minds of our generations to come, into some factory machines... we are past that stage of the Industrial Revolution, right now we must seek improvement... we have to find ways to create a better world around us, and this cannot happen without Imagination and Creativity...

Don't think that you are not creative, or don't have the imagination to come up with something original...

Pablo Picasso said:
Every child is born an artist, the problem is to remain one once they grow up
We are simply conditioned to believe that a piece of paper with a couple of letters and numbers may govern our lives, by believing in this nonsense we choose to settle for "some job" and forget the fact that we should take risks in our lives, we should try everything we can, and not simply "settle" for something...

After all we only have one life! therefore forget what people tell you about education, be creative, be yourself and do what you want to do.

Albert Einstein said:
Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.
 Oscar Wilde said:
Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.
and so on.. I could go on quoting countless amounts of people, and list numerous individuals who decided to disregard the ignorance of "schooling" and finding their own way in life, and live with incredible success.. but I think you get my point.

At the end of the day, you'll only get as far as you want to.

Don't be another brick in the wall ;)

Thanks for reading, Should be posting again this Sunday/Monday & I'll try to make it more interesting next time :S

The Struggle of Good & Evil: Part 1

The Technique

Perception can be merely the curtain to the truth

Hello World.

I believe that if we want to improve this world we live in, we must start seeing things as they are, and not as they have been shown to us.

This is quite a big topic so I will break it into three posts, two will illustrate my major points, and with the third I'd simply like to clear up some common misconceptions regarding things such as satanism, Illuminati, and etc... (Part 3 will be released later than the first 2 since it's not as essential! )

Enjoy!

If you want to see some cool pictures check out
88 Brilliant Examples of Forced Perspective
We all have heard of forced perspective... the technique which uses optical illusion to make an object appear farther away, closer, larger, or smaller than it actually is.

No, I'm not telling you this just to show you some cool pictures of what photos people have taken while applying this method.

The reason I'm telling you this is because we are subjected to this "forced perspective" on a daily basis,  this technique goes far beyond the "farther away, closer, larger, smaller" illusion.

It is so powerful that it has shaped our world into what it is today.

We live our lives by a belief system that we create which is based on the facts we hear & see in our day-to-day world.

This means that, unless we have some deeper sense of thought towards things, we typically shape our believes with whatever the TV shows, News stations, Movies, Music, and the people around us communicate. Which in-turn can sometimes cause a little misunderstanding... and/or even completely influence the way we think, regarding the topic at hand.

For example...

This has happend to me almost every time!

I'm sitting there having a serious / philosophical conversation with a friend about aliens and their existence, and at the very mention of "alien" or "UFO" there is always that one person that overhears it and gives out the little undermining chuckle...

I bet that even some of you reading this right now did the exact same thing! And may even choose to not take me completely serious for the remainder of this post.

than this guy
Well guys... good thing is, you are not to blame!...
okay, you are a little bit to blame, but still...

The reason people do this is because of how Aliens are portrayed in our society.

Whenever we watch the usual Sci Fi movie we get the "Sharp long claws, slimy foul skin, the unquenchable thirst for human flesh... an all-in-all terrifying" alien... After watching such films, of course we'd laugh at the very mentioning of "alien" whenever associated with "real life"...
You'd simply think "haha yeh right... aliens don't exist."

more like this guy
*Fun fact: Scientists say that upon an encounter with an alien, there is a higher chance of him looking more like a humanoid, rather than our handsome little guy up above.
So here you go, now you have a tiny taste of "forced perspective" on other things than simply "images".

This is merely a small yet essential part of the icing on a very large cake regarding this topic, so please go onto part 2 and keep reading !!! :D

The Struggle of Good & Evil: Part 2

The Curtain

Open your Mind and your Eyes will follow

Hello World.

I guess you could say that this is the main part of my "Three part post" ...

Enjoy!

I believe that everything that you do bad comes back to you. So everything that I do that's bad, I'm going to suffer from it. But in my mind, I believe what I'm doing is right. So I feel like I'm going to heaven.
- Tupac Shakur

This pretty much summed up everything i had to say!

But I'll say it anyway ;)

So, good and bad... or good and evil... whatever you'd like to call it, either way, these two opposing sides have been battling each other since the dawn of mankind... or at least since those terms got invented...

To be honest, to me it seems like "Good & Evil" are two sides to the same coin...

Think about it!
The guardian angel who conquered your enemy in battle was perceived by your enemy as a demon destroyer.
- Dan Brown
It is all the matter of polarity.

Good & Evil do not exist as we perceive them to be.
They do not exist as how religions display them to be.
They do not exist as how politicians expose them to be.
They do not exist as how most of our movies portray them to be.

They are not two separate figments of existence which must eradicate one another for total domination...

They are simply two half's which when played out in harmony create one divine state of living.

It's like Light and Darkness...
Neither of which is good, just like neither is bad! too much of either one can create an unpleasant condition for all living things on Earth. Yet just enough of each, and a cold hard rock can bloom into a beautiful planet which we live on today.

The dangerous notion which we are currently exhibiting is the thought that one must dominate another...
Light must win against darkness...
Good must win against evil...
or in other words, bluntly said:

obey the curtain of forced perspective, or bad things will happen... but don't worry all is with good intentions for "peace & freedom"...

Although i do not believe in the bible, i do not believe in what religion is trying to enforce on us,
but i do believe that the teachings of Jesus Christ were extremely important... I do Not view him as a Messiah or the person to be worshipped, but simply as a man who tried to make a difference...

And did not He say:
Think not that I came to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
-  Jesus - Book of Matthew - Chapter 10:34

Right now, we are submitted through this "Forced perspective" induced on us by the control systems... and instead of keeping the balance of the two moralities "good and evil", day by day less and less people choose to stand and fight, to resist... and therefore encouraging this chaos which may break out, should one of these moralities succeed in dominating the other.

Try to look past the curtain... past the forced perspective... and see things as they are, then you will realize that everything has its beauty, and its little faults, everything is equally wrong and right.

If the doors of perception were cleansed, then everything would appear as it is, infinite.
- William Blake
Remember. World Peace is impossible. But an existence better than this one we live in right now IS possible.

Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection: Theory

The Astral Body

Hello World.

As i said in "Heaven & Hell: They got it All Wrong!" i would create a post concerning OBE (out of body experience) and explain Astral Projection & Lucid dreaming so that you guys will have a better idea of what these things behold!

I will make this post a two part post.
First post is going to explain what Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection is,
and the second post will explain on how to enter these states.

Enjoy!

To give you a good idea of what you can do with lucid dreaming / astral projection, here is a video uploaded by "Spirit Science" on YouTube.

Despite its aesthetic simplicity, every time i watch this video it never ceases to be able to put a smile on my face!

Let's start off with Lucid Dreaming... what is lucid dreaming?
It is the ability to completely control your dream!
Instead of being the passive observer, you "wake up" inside of your dream and become completely in-control.

Have you noticed that in some of your dreams, you see things a little blurry and distorted... some details are clear, others aren't...yet most of the time, you can't even remember your dreams or even have the feeling you didn't dream at all?
While you are awake in your dream everything becomes more vivid and real, also once you wake up from a lucid dream you can remember every single detail.

*Fun Fact: Every Person (unless they have a strong psychological disorder) dreams 4 to 7 times each night*

Alright now that you have a basic idea of Lucid Dreaming, lets have a look at Astral Projection...
What is astral projection?
Astral Projection is the ability to project your "Astral Body" into the Astral realm, which in some cultures is referred to as "the after-life".

Your body stays calm and motionless in one place, while your astral body which is your soul / mind, travels to wherever your heart may desire, whether it is to explore the astral realm or even the very planet we live on.

If looked at in a general perspective... I personally would have to say that Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection is the same thing.

Both of these states of OBE, IF YOU CHOOSE TO, let you:
  • Travel the Astral Plane & the Universe
  • Give you a deeper understanding of life
  • Let you meet your Subconsciousness, which had many names throughout history; "The Spirit Guide", "Your Higher Self", "Guardian Angel", "The Helper", "The Mentor" etc...
  • and MUCH MUCH more!
What if the only difference between these two states, is the condition we induce them in?

During Astral Projection people usually choose to induce it through meditation, therefore knowing that they are awake and aware of the real world around them they are able to project their astral body into the "real" world, into the "now".

Whereas Lucid dreaming occurs when you are asleep and you wake up inside your dream, therefore limiting yourself only to the thought of a dream reality.

So bottom line is..

If we go to sleep, and wake up in a dream, knowing it is a dream, we perceive our surroundings as a dream, if we induce OBE through meditation, we know we're awake, and perceive our surroundings as the "real awake world".

We must remember that everything we do in our dream / projection state is reflected by our emotions, feelings, and thoughts, the astral realm is governed by these aspects much like the physical world is governed by gravity and everything else..

While my post might not even touch upon all the wonders Astral Projection & Lucid Dreaming can achieve i strongly encourage you to check out "Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection: Practice" for some instructions to try and undergo this magnificent experience yourself!

Thanks for reading!

BTW here is a little list of some famous Lucid Dreamers :)

Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection: Practice

Entering The Astral World

Hello World.

As I personally never had the pleasure to experience either one of these things, I have researched  ways on how to induce these states, here's a little guide, so give it a try!

(remember lucid dreaming doesn't necessarily have to be induced, it may also happen completely by accident when you "wake up in a dream" and I'm sure you've woken up in a dream before, but instead of staying in the dream, our minds get too excited and literally wake ourselves up in the physical world)

Things you should do during the day
During your day to day life, perform reality checks.
Ask yourself a couple of times during the day... "am i dreaming?", and truly ponder the question...

When entering a room, flick the light-switch once or twice, and watch the light go off and on.
(in a dream, the light won't go off or on, the atmosphere would stay exactly as it was)

Try to physically put your index finger through your palm ( i know it sounds ridiculous) but simply imagine pushing your index finger through your palm without any problems, and seeing it coming out on the other side, do this a couple of times during the day.
(In a dream your index finger would go through your palm because anything is possible!)

Check fine writing on your surroundings, or even check your watch from time to time.
(In your dream fine details are distorted because we don't pay attention to them)

Get into the HABIT of doing these things. The Habit is the key. All of these techniques make a crucial difference in telling whether you are dreaming or not.

By making these things a habit, you are transferring them into your subconsciousness. Since your dreams are based of your subconsciousness, you will be more likely to do one of these reality checks in your dream, and as a result realizing that you are dreaming!

*Important* : once you do find yourself awake inside your dream, STAY CALM, our mind tends to get over excited and wake ourselves up before you even get to experience all the fun things you can do, so try and rub your hands together, or swirl around, or do anything to keep yourself focused on your dream.

Another factor which helps inducing Lucid Dreaming is ... going to bed early!!!
By having a longer sleep you have a higher chance of inducing Lucidity in the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stages of your sleep.

I cannot stress how important this following part is so please read carefully:

While we sleep, we have complete muscle atonia which prevents us from acting out our dreams.

This means that our muscles are completely paralyzed during our REM sleep (during REM sleep is when our brain is most active, and displays the same activity as though our body was awake)

The reason i'm telling you this is because of a common phenomenon known as "Sleep paralysis", remember that this event can occur during any kind of sleep, and doesn't depend on any specific factors,
(unless you have the neuromuscular disorder narcolepsy)
Sometimes it has been reported occurring after some lucid dreams, rather more frequent than normal dreams. (Sleep Paralysis is entirely dependent on how stressed you are!!!)

Sleep paralysis occurs when our REM sleep is disrupted while falling asleep or wakening, this is often associated with terrifying visions of either demonic visitations, or intruders in the room etc... it may also give you the feeling of something sitting on your chest preventing you to breathe properly, all whilst you are unable to move.

It is important to remain calm, and focus on your body to snap out of this state and to start moving, usually there are always some parts of the body which you can move so try to keep moving those parts faster telling your brain that you are awake, or even just lie back, relax, and dream! Sleep paralysis is completely natural and you undergo this every night. In-fact you must induce sleep paralysis to willfully lucid dream! The only reason you are starting to freak out is because you do not understand why you are paralyzed!

The most terrifying thing about it is when it happens and you do not understand what is going on.

So just by reading this, the worst part is over ;)

Remember Sleep Paralysis can happen at any time whether the result of a lucid dream or a normal dream, so please do not be discouraged to lucid dream!

Here's the basic 5 step process of how you should go about trying to achieve this goal

1. Practice Meditation, and the art of controlling & clearing your mind of thoughts.

2. Go into a comfortable position, whether it's the traditional meditation position, or you can simply lie down on the bed.

(the bad part about lying in bed is that you may fall asleep during the process and render your experiment unsuccessful)

3. After you assumed a relaxed position, focus your mind on relaxing every single muscle in your body.

4. Once you have done so, remain motionless and relaxed, with your mind cleared of thought.

(it's okay if you can't remove all thought since it's almost impossible) best way of doing so is to focus your mind on the feeling of air passing through your nose... in and out, in and out... with slow deep breaths.

5. After you are feeling the state of complete bodily relaxation , and your body feels almost as though it was numb, focus your mind on your hands or feet and imagine moving them without physically doing so. Try to imagine your hand moving, try to feel it moving, without literally moving it.

(this is the closest I have come to OBE, there were times I could feel my hands and feet moving, and only moments later realized that I wasn't actually moving them as the sense of the physical body, rather they were moving extremely vividly in my imagination)

6. By this step, you should be able to move your entire body freely and easily, simply through your mind, your physical body is in a relaxed, and completely motionless position, your mind is calm and thought-free focusing at the task at hand. imagine projecting yourself into the world :) , trust me you'll know once you are in a lucid dream.

Good luck with the practice and i hope you will lucid dream :)

Thanks for reading.
